Standards and best practice guides creation

Cetie

Cetie is an international association publishing technical reference documentation on bottling and related subject developed in working groups bringing together experts from member companies or federations. Through participation in Afnor, Cetie also maintains direct links to European (CEN) and International (ISO) standardisation to actively contribute to the development of voluntary standards in the field of bottling, holding the convenorship of CEN TC261 / SC5 / WG21 (Glass packaging), TC 261 / SC5, WG25  (Rigid plastic packaging) and ISO TC63 (Glass packaging).

Our Mission

Cetie is committed to promoting industrial best practice and consensual specifications for the bottling industries worldwide. (Voluntary standards) The basis for the action of Cetie is the organisation of exchanges between experts from Cetie membership, covering the entire value chain, to enable publishing consensual reference documentation. However, the mission extends to making the published documents readily available for download within the bottling community and to all interested parties to enable these to be widely used in industrial practice without requiring membership of the association. Though this implies that non-members benefit from the contributions and knowledge of fee paying members members this is not in contradiction with the traditional economic interests of the companies concerned. In particular, sharing non confidential knowledge and technical experience to develop consensual references and bases for future standards enables Cetie members to considerably reduce development risks and associated costs. Active participation in the Cetie network of experts can thus serve the agility of its members.
