International Technical Centre for Bottling

Cetie is a French non-profit association (under law 1901), interprofessional and international, which publishes technical documentation concerning packaging (glass and PET containers) dedicated to the packaging of liquids (beverages, cosmetic and pharmaceutical products). Cetie is committed to the development and harmonisation of industrial practices on an international scale. Its mission is to frame and organise exchanges and discussions between international experts, covering the entire value chain.

Mission and Role

Cetie not only facilitates the development of harmonised practices but also ensures that its published documentation is available (free of charge) to the bottling community and all interested parties (packaging experts).

  • Closure systems manufacturers (e.g., cork, crown and metal screw caps, overcaps, bidules, wine corks, bar top stoppers)

  • Control and traceability systems manufacturers (e.g., hot-end/cold-end, laser coding)
  • Machines manufacturers (e.g., bottling, capping machines, filling machines, moulds, labelling machines)
  • Bottlers/Fillers (e.g., oenologists, zythologists, brewers, winemakers, various beverages such as dairy products, fruit juices, syrups, soft drinks, mineral water)
  • Educators in packaging, oenology, etc.
  • Jurists, lawyers, insurers, consultants
  • Packaging treatment centres (e.g., recycling, re-filling)
  • Packaging-related components manufacturers (e.g., sealing systems manufacturers, label/printers, adhesive technologies, lacquer and varnish suppliers)
