Technical reference documentation for filling, capping and more

Cetie “standards” and best practices bottling guides

Our documents are widely used in industry practice without the need for membership. Non-members thus benefit from the contributions and knowledge of adhering members. This does not conflict with the traditional economic interests of the member companies: the sharing of non-confidential knowledge and technical experience develops common references and the consensual basis for future standards, enabling Cetie members to considerably reduce the risks inherent in developments and their associated costs.
Active participation in Cetie's network of experts can thus serve the agility of members.

Our library provides information on:
  • Neck finishes geometry;
  • Capping systems and their components;
  • Test methods;
  • Filling best practices;
  • Bottle and cap nomenclatures and glossaries;
  • Packaging traceability and inspection systems;
And more…

Cetie contributes to packaging standardisation:

Through participation in AFNOR, Cetie also maintains direct links to European (CEN) and International (ISO) standardisation to actively contribute to the development of official standards in the field of bottling, holding the convenorship of CEN TC261 / SC5 / WG21 (Glass packaging), TC 261 / SC5, WG25  (Rigid plastic packaging as well as plastic caps and lids for any packaging containing plastic) and ISO TC63 (Standardisation of glass containers made from the moulded glass used as a means of packaging.)
